straight distilled water does the same on some of my tubing,
but very very lightly, clouding of the tubing (but it was old tube),
and seems the filter is working as the blocks remain clean free (poly topped WW, not cracked -> yay!).

Edit : had straight distll for about 5 months. No heavy film deposits.
