Mine was made by Meridian. If your serial no is >27k you have the newer version. If you take the time and read the " hack a snap 1000" mega post, you will see the problems related to the older hardware. Those SN >27k don't have any problems with 4.0.860 update. Check your BIOS and see what version you are at. If it is > 2 you should be able to install hd > 137 gig.
Your ram may have been updated, most only have 32 meg.
