Default Re: Hack a Snap Sever 1000?

According to this web site http://www.digit-life.com/articles/quantumsnapserver/ the Snap Server 4100 uses the Promise Controller PDC20265 chip.

When you go tho this website http://www.storagedrivers.com/drivers/80/80527.htm they have a driver for that chip but the site states that it's NOT the latest driver. I tried to find the latest driver but have been unsucessful as of yet.

Here's a Promise description of that chip: http://www.promise.com/product/oem_a...c20265_eng.htm Does the 2000 use the same Promise controller chip?

WARNING: I'm not a Snap Server expert. If you try any of these drivers you do so at your own risk. If in doubt, don't do it.

We'll solve this problem - eventually.
