Default Re: noob question, please help

There are a couple of problems you are going to run into.
First, the obvious one - how to connect 1/4" hose to 1/2"barbs. I'd suggest taking the block down to your local hardware store and seeing what sort of threaded barbs they've got and just replacing the ones that are on there. BUT - read on before you do that just yet.
Second, DD trumpets "high flow", which could be good as in "doesn't introduce a lot of restriction to your loop" and could be bad as in "relies on high flow and doesn't cool worth a d*mn at low flow" - and you definitely have a low flow system (I'm hoping it's at least 1/4" ID and not OD tubing).
Third, you may or may not have enough radiator capacity to "shed" the additional heat to the air. I have no experience with Koolance, but their reputation is that they size things to just barely be able to cope with the heat load they're sold to handle. The heat from your 6800 may be more than your radiator can handle.
Fourth, the NV68 is copper. AFAIK (second hand knowledge) Koolance stuff is aluminum. Aluminum by itself in a look will corrode - but it's lots worse if there's copper in there, too. So be sure to use corrosion inhibitor.
There's more, but I don't like being a nay-sayer - and I don't know enough about your Koolance system (and maybe they've improved). How big is the radiator? What kind of pumps? are they in series or parallel?
