AMD has been gaining market share on the overall CPU sales market as well. They are back in the 20% range.

I was watching the stock market guru's this weekend on the news and they suggested buying AMD stock.
Dell buying Alienware is pretty substantial for Alienware. They should be able to get and excellent price on parts with the buying power of Dell. That should increase profits for them.
