Default Re: Snap 4000 Upgrade

Actually, I was getting the CPU temperature warnings before I even started the upgrades. The server originally came with 64MB of RAM and four 30GB Quantum Fireball hard drives.

I haven't hooked up the new 500GB Seagate hard drives yet because I wanted to give it a day to see if the CPU temperature warnings continue. So far it's been running for 6 hours and it hasn't shown up in the log again.

During my fiddling with it earlier, I turned it off and on six or seven times and the message only shows in the logs right after it comes on. I wonder if whatever sensor is reporting the problem is just seeing a temp spike when the server first turns on. I thought I'd check here to see if anyone else has seen this before.

The reason I'd like to get 4.0.860 on this server is that we'll be installing AD sometime this Summer (June/July) and I know 3.4.x is not going to work woth that. I've got a 4100 that's in the same boat.
