No one wants to be the first to try the 500gig.

Even thought they are real expensive right now.

As Generic if the bios supports LBA48bit, any hd>137gig will work. The 4000 using Software RAID, LBA48 does not come into play.

What is your HW, BIOS versions?

Do a check with the FreeNAS and see if there is a drive size.
I'll have to boot it back up moved away from it as im in the process of dumping all data off a 4100 so i can pull the drives and put them in a 4400 i just aquired (my second). Seems the guardion os may have drive size limitations also.
