There's little work being done in adding air sinks to a water block; I'm guessing because it's hardly worth it (which seems reasonable).

I'd hold on to that design for a GPU block.

To test, as long as your block design is roughly better than a Danger Den Maze 1 or 2, you'll be ok, but make sure that it's mounted to make good contact.

If you want to get into some serious testing, that's a whole different ball game...
