Within a year, I plan to add liquid cooling to my computer. I plan to spend up to or around $300.

1. I remember reading a long time ago that the kits were not a very wise decision. Custom building the setups was strongly preferred. Is this still the case? Are there any kits in my price range that come close to the quality I would get for buying custom parts individually and assembling it myself?

2. Is it better for cooling purposes to have tubing with larger or smaller diameters?
