, what a waste! (unless of course you are running something where you need that much data security). If a person is going to do that, they might as well break it into 2 RAID 1 arrays, same amount of data space roughly and less XOR overhead.
It will be interesting to note if he makes the 400's work in the 4000 correctly. If he does, it will be the largest functioning upgrade I am aware of on the 4000.
