I entered an IP address for the outgoing mail (SMTP) server for my ISP (Verizon). The form on the failure notification looks like it is asking for an IP address (4 boxes). I determined the IP address of my SMTP server by pinging the server name (outgoing.verizon.net) and using the IP that replied to that ping. Is there another way to find out the IP of the SMTP server?

What is FQDN?

How would it work if your ISP requires verification? There is no place to enter a password for the mail account.
