Its fun at the start but
1) gets annoying if you choose the wrong rad and cant get tubing or barbs on it
2) Mounting also becomes an issue and building a shroud
3) have to spend time cleaning and rinsing HC or car rad.
4) corrosion

If its for a project go ahead but if you want to go straight into WC I would spend the $30-40 for a WCing rad that will also perform better and require less time.

Other ways to save money is to buy a good $20-30 artic/nv silencer kit and buy a cheaper WCing pump. You can hit sub $150 range for a kit. Also check ebay out for stuff
