Default Re: HACK a Quantum 2000 Series SNAP?

Hello all.

I have what must be an original Meridian Snap Server. Not sure of the disk size, but I believe it is a single 4gb. I'd like to replace the hard drive with one of greater capacity, of course. I'm not smart enough to break into the case, however. Any pointers?

When I inherited this gem I had no software, and had no idea how to connect to it. So I contacted Adaptec and a helpful tech graciously sent me the OS and instructions. I have since lost those files. I see the volume in Win XP and can use it for storage; I can access the gui via browser & IP address. I do not , however, recall the username/password combo.

I'd like to replace the hard drive, and possibly reset to factory defaults. Any guidance, links to software, manuals, etc will be most appreciated.

My Snap Server:
Meridian Mod 5325301057
S/N 25265
Model 2000?
Version 3.4.803
hardware 1.1.0
BIOS 1.2.180
