I checked in with the guy that had my server. Turns out that even with the drives in another 4100 it still "freezes" after the disk check. He's going to try and clone the disks after booting to Linux I think, the phone kept cutting out so I didn't catch all of it. Either way, i'm not really hold onto much hope for the server since it now sounds like a drive problem if it's giving the same trouble in a perfectly working server. I'll keep you posted.
Blue keeps us in line pretty well.

If he gets lucky and can clone the drives, then the snap should rebuild them. The OS is a little archaic by todays standards, so it doesn't tolerate and funkyness from the drives. A fresh set might just make the difference.
