Default Re: Hack a Snap Sever 1000?

Well I wish I had a dollar for every one that trys to convert the smaller unit into 2 drive units. If you are getting that 1-2 led pattern (looking for IP) after changing the bios, You may have just created a door stop. I have one here that a user dropped off. There is no way that I have found to get past it. I have some new hardware that can now broadcast / DHCP server. When ever I get a some free time I may try it again. But don't hold your breath, my list is long. Your only grase is that you did not unlock the BIOS. If you unlocked and made the change, and the unit rebooted, your SOL. You can now sell it for parts.

There is a hardware difference between the 1000 and 2000. Now there is a 2000 v that is the used in both 2000 and 4000, but these are scarce.

The 2200 requires a image file, The 2000 does not. The popup window (SnapAppliance) for Vitals reports all 2 drive models as 2000.
