I have a new-in-box Quantum SNAP M1000 that is the same type unit you described here (your dead one) that I am about to put on ebay (damn nice unit with all the manuals and CDs etc).

OS - 2.3.417 (US) (I have 3.4.805/807 and 4.0.860 I can put on it)
Hardware - 3.1.1
BIOS - 2.1.364

If you want to make me an offer... But better do it fast I am putting it up this afternoon...
