Building my first water cooling setup, have questions.

My first post here at "Pro Forums".

I am working on my first water cooling setup. I have the Eheim pump, Maze2, using a big Ford Van heater core mounted outside the case. I am not using a tank.

First question is that I would like to mount the heater core with the inlets on the bottom. These will be inline horizontally with the suction inlet on the pump setting in the bottom of the Antec 840. Is this OK? Must I mount the heater core with the inlets at the top? I want them on the bottom to reduce pipe length. The top of the radiator will be about even with the water block in height.

Secondly, what is a good way to fill a sealed system with a riser pipe? I have viewed several sealed setups on the web and I cannot see how they could be filled by placing the pump in a bucket full of water + water wetter.

Last, I am not certain as to where the "T" and the riser (air chamber) should go. I was thinking between the block and the suction inlet of the pump.

Thanks much,

Jim
