Amen to that. I picked up a 2*30Gb SS off ebay. It arrived at 07:30 GMT this morning and I've been scouring the web since then trying to get some info on how to get it to show up on my network.
I eventually ascertained that I need Assist. However, this doesn't seem to be available from the manufacturer so I've hit a wall. If anyone cane email info on where to get access to Assist I'd be very grateful.
Thanks to all here as this is the only place I could find anything of any use.

Further browsing the board led me to a post indicating that some of the Dell versions of Assist will work. After a bit of fiddling with the system reset options I managed to get the 2000 to be recognised and I have configured it. Sadly, it seems that one of the 30Gb drives is dead as it is not reported by the admin screen and there was a nasty noise a few times when I was rebooting. Looks like it's iffy. I'll get back to the vendor since the one thing they positively stated was that both drives were verified as operational and had been read/write tested. I bought he unit with a view to upgrading the disks but I paid the price in the expectation that it would offer 60Gb at the outset. I'll let you know the outcome.
thanks again for all the great info here. I wouldn't have gotten off the starting blocks without it.
