Default To HDD boot Image or Not to HDD boot Image

That is the question....

I have a question or two and suggetion for an addition to the Wiki;

A list or matrix to show what units do & don't need a boot image on the 1st HDD

My understanding is that the SS1000 & SS2000 do not need HDD Boot images - so I would assume that this would also be the same for the SS4000?

I just picked a SS4000 up, litterally out of the bin at work so I guess I will find this answer out soon enough.

From upgrading a SS2000 I know it doesn't need it so I assume the SS1000 would be the same?

Snap Server 1000 ??? 90% Not required ???
Snap Server 2000 HDD boot Image not required
Snap Server 4000 ??? 50% Not required ???

Snap Server 1100 Required
Snap Server 2200 Required
Snap Server 4100 ??? 90% Required ???

When it comes to the SS1100, SS2200 & SS4100, I assume they all need a HDD Boot Image but;

Can the Drive images from these be interchanged between the 3 units? - E.g. can the drive image from the 2200 be used on a SS4100?

Does the 4100's image have to be on more than 1 drive, or is it simply copied over from the first?

(my undersatdning is that the image is kept on 2 or 3 of the drives for redundancy, when you go to RAID 5 you must have the image accross at leat 3 drives if it is just on 1 drive and that is the one that dies then you loose the whole array anyway?)

It would be great to hear back, thank you!
