4x30GB Quantum Fireball lct RAID5

One drive dropped (orphaned), replaced it with the exact make/model and converted it to a spare. Snap complained the drive was like 60MB too small and refused to use it. Replaced that with a 40GB Quantum Fireball Plus AS, detected it as a 6.2GB...grrr. Then it dropped a second drive. I've since cloned all 4 original drives to 4 identical Quantum 30GB drives with zero errors. Drives 0 and 1 are both labeled as orphans. Here is what info devices looks like. I also have an identical working unit purchased from eBay and putting the drives in that makes no difference, so it isn't cables/connectors/mobo. I know dropping 2 drives from a RAID5 is craptacular, but there's nothing wrong with the drives (physically) and SNAP won't let me force them online.

Ideas?
