Default Re: Resurrecting a Snap1000

Thanks for the quick reply,

So it's a V2 (That I was not sure of) and I have to track down another one
to dd the first 25-30 meg of the drive into a raw file so I can then dd it to the
new drive and pray it boots.
(If it does I'm burning the image to a mini-CD and sticking it in the case.)

This could take a while as I live in an area where I'm considered a genius
because I can find Power and Reset buttons and I'm not afraid to use them.

I found a reference to a "Snap Up" exe that is supposed to broadcast the .sup file
to update the server, Can I use that plus the 3.4.805.sup I have to do this?
(I tried the 5x reset trick and it's waiting for data.)

Alternately, anybody out there got a spare 1000 V2 with 3.4.805 they can crack
open and do the dd deed for me?
