In practice we have tried this. Here's what we do. I work from a docked laptop which I take home each night. Next morning I power up and reset the 1100 via the web. There is another desktop that does not power down which I have checked. It looses connection also.
Here's a tidbit. We have multi-user Quickbooks (2 should be able to work from the same file). When this file resided on the 1100 only one could access it at a time. Moved the file to one of the 2000's and it can now be accessed by multiple users. Don't know how or why.
I plan on trying a simple check tonight - swapping the cable. Have been using the new one supplied with the unit.
