Snap 4100 - Can't access files in Windows Explorer
Firstly - thanks to all everyone who contributes here, especially the moderators - I must have read a 1,000 posts here, and so much has useful in understanding how these little baby servers work.
So, I have a problem and would be really grateful for some help. I can't access the files on a 4100 server in windows explorer (XP Pro) - but I can see them via the browser, and can copy/save them via http. I get an error in some sub-folders:
"T:\[location] refers to a location that is unavailable......"
I have a bunch of 4000's and 4100's and am in the process of upgrading them as I need to expand storage. I'll post the results of the upgrades to the database as they happen.
My problem is with the first server I had, a 4100:
Hardware: 2.2.1
OS: 3.4.805
Bios: 2.4.437
Memory: 64mb
Drives: 4x80Gb, Raid 5 = 224Gb
When I first set this up for web access, and set up secure access (https) but subsequently removed it. I also had plenty of file-user security but have removed all of that too now. Then I had this problem. It was running an earlier version of the OS, probably 803 when the files were saved. I've checked the disks and they are okay, and I've run a fault test and all is fine. I replaced the CPU fan and mobo battery, but haven't touched the memory.
That's about it - can post the logs if it's useful.
thanks
Jase
