I have sucessfully recovered from a 1000 be changed to a 2000 model (bios change) and locking it up with the 1 x 2 led pattern. It's only taken me 1+ yrs to find a solution. It is easy to recover if you have the right hardware. I just happen to stumble in to the solution.
