yeah , that's what I was hoping wouldn't happen 8(

Now I have to decide if I buy a new mobo for it ( I will presume that if I buy a new 4000 mobo from Northwest Technical it comes with the OD on board ) or if I buy a 4100 I have just seen for sale , this also has no hdds.

hmmm what to do ...

well if it is dead and no-one can think of anything more to try I'd like to thank you guys for your quick replies and very useful info 8)
