Thanks for the thoughts.

Battery is in correctly and checks out for proper voltage. I even tweaked he contacts.

I tried the WD's at CS, single master and nothing came up for 20 minutes each time. Other drive changes I've done on the 2000 showed disk activity.

I put the old drives in and still the same.

The unit will not reset by the button.

This is the first time I've done a battery replacement. I'll be surprised if I fried somthing because I've done 5 of these 2000's so far, including a 4 drive raid 5.

Is there another reset that I'm missing?
