I keep hoping Adaptec would just release the OS to the public. But up to resently the were selling the 4100's which used the Snap OS. Maybe after the warranty support ends on the 4100's (3 yrs). They will release it.
But remember the Snap OS does not Support Vista and has other issues if your not on v4.

Yeah, they sent me 3.4.807. I'll upgrade to that soon... and the Assist was version 4.0.860. And I'm sure you're right, when they no longer support the 4100 they won't care about the OS any more. I will also have to keep in mind about no support with Vista. Fine with me, I sort of hate Vista and so do many of my customers (we've hand more then 1 client want XP back on their new PC
) XP Pro and my few Linux boxes seem to suit me just fine... But thank you for that information!
