Mainly because I'm using UV lights in my case. I wanted a UV reactive formula without the hassle of water. I just read about too many issues with things growing in peoples water, even when they've used additives. So I figured I'd try something that you just add in by itself, not mixing it with water. The main thing though is being UV reactive, and not green or yellow. I'm trying to stick with blue/purple colors in my case.
