Re: Cant get into a 12000
Still nothing.. tried moving drives around, and the same things happen. I removed the first drive, and connected it to ne of my Linux boxes, and it does not see any partitions. I don't have a FreeBSD box handy, so cant try it in that..
I have the snap_sys.sup file which we purchased the last time we upgraded this thing, but theres no way to try to re-apply it, as its always dependant on the web page.
I know the image that was hosted on here some years ago was removed, but is there a how to for getting the sup file onto the drive? maybe a dd from a FreeBSD box, or some other box that can do ufs/ufs2/whatever format these drives are? Should I install FreeBSD somewhere, format this drive, and stick it back in? FWIW, the drives in it are the origional drives that came with the box, Seagate Barracuda ST380021A (80gig). We have all 12 of them. And this is indeed a SnapOS box as opposed to a Guardian.
