WOW! Thanks for all of your help. I finally got it working!
As it turns out, I am a dumb ass....hehe
When I was using DD ( first time user ) on the screen that asks you to select the destination drive, I was using the arrow keys to go down and select the drive, but I never hit the space bar to actually select it. When I did do it correctly, I let it copy 1% of the drive and then put the new one in the SNAP and viola worked like a charm!
As for the fan, after it sat for a while running with the top of the box on, I caught the fan kicking on. It only runs for about 30 seconds and then shuts off again. I'm just shocked that it lets the drive and inside of the SNAP get as warm as it does before it kicks on.
