I was able to move drives between a 4100 and 4000 (and keep data).

BUT!

The drives must be in the proper order and the unit being used must have the same or higher SNAP OS installed.

And!

With that said, if it does not work for you, and the OS mounts the drives, the data will be gone, gone, gone (RAID blown). DO NOT do this unless you have no other choice or the data is not important.

Yes, I was able to do it, but yes, I also had some blown arrays also. Don't bank on it.
