I have a Snap server 4500 on which I am running Windows Server 2003 R2 wit no issues. The watchdog can be disabled in the BIOS on the 4500. I do not know about the 4200 in that regard.
To install a new OS all I had to do was boot off of a USB CD-ROM drive and install windows.
