Well its time my old tired 800 MHz shit server be retired and a new one in place! I have some parts and am buying others and yes, it will be liquid cooled
Motherboard: Tyan Thunder K7
Memory: 4x 256 MB for a total 1 GB (DDR 200)
CPUs: Don't have em yet. I'm cheap so I can't afford Athlon MPs and will just mod some XPs.
Power: I'll find something...
Storage: Probably a 40 gig for the OS drive and a 74 gig SCSI for the apps / database, files, etc...
Cooling: I have a pretty big heater core and plan to make a northbridge block and custom air ducts. pHaestus says he has some stuff for me so we'll see
Case: I might reuse my SuperMicro tower (case my current old ass server is in) or use the spare Lian Li I have here.
I'll try to get some pics up as soon as I can. And don't worry, this isn't another of my long term projects
Should be done in a month or less.
