What a horrid way to support a product.

Removal of all actual utilities and software to get the thing working.

I just wasted 4 hours of my life trying to get a snap 2200 to work.

It took me 1 hour to find the dam assist util. I had to get it from dells FTP site. Yeh its their. Maby you should sue them. Let em know that when you sell them a product that users cant actually fix it. Only if I would have found a dell power vault. Only if I owned adaptec would their profits sore.

Now that I have this utility I don't know if its compatible because I do not have a way to get this thing working without THE SNAP OS INSTALLED ON THE DRIVE. WHO THE HELL WOULD DO THIS?!?!!

WHY I preyed to god. You know what happend. I found this site. See people had to create a site around your products because you cant support them. Its like selling a weapon without the manual.

Why on earth would you ever install the OPERATING OS of a NAS on the units hard disk. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE HARD DRIVE FAILS? (their should be an adaptec labeled cat here...we need a picture...someone) You must not care about your customers or the respect of our hacker world. Just remember who decides what most companies buy. Hackers (The meaning of what a hacker is: not that cracking bullshit (though assembly is respected by me) or even breaking into your systems to steal the software i need to get this done. The meaning in which HACKERS like us have to use when working with your service oriented garbage). HOURS AND HOURS OF TIME WASTED. My life is now that much worthless. I feel like killing myself because of all the time I wasted on this shit. Remember when your company is failing and im their to give you a swift kick in the ass for wasting my time with lame ass product registrations and endless loops of stating things like: "download here" when really you keep no form of software or information that will help me out. No some moron in your company decided that it wasnt good enough. Our products should not be that easy to use. They decided that in the long run the service contracts the company generates are far more valuable then the actual products you sell. 199!?!?!?!?!?!? AN HOUR FOR SUPPORT? How difficult would it be to put a little flash chip in your product with an OS on it? It wouldnt. Hell. Ill do it for yeh. Im sure that I could find some 10 year old electronics hacker that knows how to mod his xbox to just throw one in for you.
