I have a snap server 2200. Right now I have a drive in it that works just fine. 250 gig etc etc.

Now my concern is that I put another 100 gig 7200 in it and the disk seems to reset for some reason. It makes weird noises. Like a pinging sound.

If it was a power issue would not both drives and the unit itself reset by some manner?

I have a computer powersuppy (250 Watt) modified as a power adapter for the snap server. One would think that this would be more then enough power to power this device?

Does the snap server itself put limits on the power?

If not do you think I need a bigger PS?
