Default Boot failure snap1100

I'm a new user here. Discovered the forums while trying to troubleshoot a snap1100 unit in place at a local hardware store.

The hard drive stopped spinning up in the snap server. I replaced it with a new western digital 80gb drive and the system wouldn't come up on the network. Never in a million years would I have guessed the OS for the server was stored on the hard drive. I assumed it was stored in flash ram on the system board (seems some do store the OS this way).

I would clone the data to the new drive but the original is dead so basically it's a worthless unit until I can get a copy of the OS boot image. I know the OS itself is copyrighted but the owner paid over $2k for this unit initially and paid for the OS that was on it. Now since it's gettin a little age on it Adaptec refuses to provide support and wants a ridiculous amount of money for a replacement drive. I have searched google for a while now and have come up with nothing regarding the binary file to wite to the new drive. If anybody can provide me a private link to the boot image I need to get the server back up and running I would be very grateful.
