I don't understand? In a Raid 5 (as well as raid0, raid 01) the file is broken up and written to all the drives in the array. Raid5 is not a direct copy array setup, so the files shouldn't be available to be read off individual drives.
I'm not trying to refute your help at all, but i am trying to see if i missed anything in my understanding of raid. Please let me know if i'm being dense here
