I think I spoke too soon that the firmware version was my problem. I was able to find a copy of OS 3.4.805 and successfully updated one of the 1100s. It does now report version 3.4.805. However, it still sees the drive as only 137 GB.

After updating the firmware, I formatted the drive, but that is all I did. Is there something else I should do to get the full 250 GB?
