The reimaging instructions at

Are titled
Write IMG To HD with DD (Digital Dolly, a disk cloning software)

However they contain step by step instructions to do this job with a Knoppix live CD.
There seem to be no entries about doing this job using anything except Knoppix, even though the title and the referring page

refer only to DD.

Is there a way to do this job with DD, or is it now necessary to use knoppix, or what?
Or is the title of that section and on the referring page incorrect?
