EXACTLY the same as a 4500 and louder than a 4400 (4500/725N are not something you want in your living room).

The limit on all three of the units you just listed is going to not be the server or OS. It is going to be how big of a PATA/EIDE Hard Disk can you get?
Now a little opinion thrown in that I am sure "someone" will want to argue about.
I DO NOT recommend hard disks over 500 GB in 1U Servers. Why? Because 1U servers are notorious for limited cooling. Drives over 500GB are in my opinion too high in the power department (power translates to heat) for this limited cooling. Why? Because a Hard Disk's life span is directly proportional to the average temperature when running.
