Not to resurrect a really old thread, but I've been doing some reading and this seems like the most logical thread I've come across to post the questions I have.

I decided to buy a 4500 on ebay based on some info from this site and have a couple minor concerns:

1. I've installed four Seagate 750 gig HDD's in it, but the BIOS only sees two of them at once. Several people have said on here that it should work... am I doing something wrong or are they supposed to work like that?

2. I've attempted to install FreeNAS via either USB stick or a USB CDROM drive. I've enabled "Boot From USB CD-ROM" option in the BIOS (and even disabled all other boot forms for the sake of my experiment), but it won't boot to this CD. In fact, it won't even spin the drive up to read from the disk. My laptop boots off this CD just fine and goes into the livecd. Thoughts?
