Default Re: Cant get into a 12000

JoeShmo:

If you have 4.0.860 installed on the Snap12000 then you are in trouble. It will not work(webgui and runs very slow) with this version. Don't ask me why and the details. I just know from experience. You are going to have to try and down grade the unit. It's been a while but I believe up to v4.0.854 will work. But that's not your big problem here. You have to find the specific down grade version SnapOS and then upgrade to v4.0.854. If you cannot find the down grade SnapOS version then you might have a very large brick. Here is an example were upgrading was a bad thing.

I cant remember what version of snapos was on it before, as we purchased the 4.0.860 version in July 2005, I wasnt the one who applied it, but I doubt the old one was saved off of it. I have the origional CD from the snap, not sure what version that is, as its always the same generic name.
We purchased 4.0.860 for $599.00. If you think 4.0.855 would work, would we have to buy that, or do you think the purchase of 4.0.860 would entitle us to .855?

Its kind of moot, since theres no way to apply any version of the image anyway...
I suppose I could try to call someone, but our support ran out a year after the .860 purchase.
