These units do not have a problem with larger drives at all! The only current limit is the size of available PATA drives.
If you have problems doing this, you have a hardware problem (bad unit, not enough memory, bad drives, etc) or you're not doing it right. PERIOD!
DO NOT put out BAD INFORMATION to others saying it doesn't work or can't be done etc...
