Sorry to barge in but this is good info and I wanted to throw some examples at you; these are straight off ebay...


Pentium 4 P4 CPU 3.2Ghz 3.2 C 512KB 800 Northwood 478
- No Good as its an 800Mhz FSB?

Intel Pentium® 4, 2.8 GHz HT (Northwood) - socket 478
- Probably OK?

New Pentium 4 P4 3.4 3.4Ghz/512/800/478 Northwood SL793
- No Good as its an 800Mhz FSB?

Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.06 GHz SL5S6 Northwood
- Probably OK?

INTEL PENTIUM 4 2.8GHz NORTHWOOD 478 p4, 2.8, HT, SL6WJ
- Probably OK?

Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz 478 CPU 400 FSB Northwood *BRAND NEW
- Probably OK?

Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.40 GHz SL793 Northwood
- No Good as its an 800Mhz FSB?

Pentium 4 P4 CPU 3.06Ghz 512/533 Northwood 478 SL6PG
- Probably OK?

Os can they only be "SL6PG" or "SL6QC"

If I message these sellers should they be able to locate the "SL6PG" or "SL6QC" easily from the print on the top of the chip? - or do I need to get all the numbers and compare them to a lit online?
