I would not use 250GB drives or above in a stock 4000 due to OS and Power limitations. 250's could be used, but not recommended without a power supply replacement/upgrade (not cheap or easy).

You should be able to use drives below that fairly easily.

If you don't have them already, you can make me an offer on a set of FULLY TESTED used drives if you want. I have a set each of 80GB, 160GB, and 185GB drives available. I also have 250's, but now we are back to needing a power supply first.
