Was that after adding a second drive, or bricking a single drive 1100?

Well, if it involves a JTAG or a serial cable (well, pretty much any cable), I've got it. But now you've piqued my curiosity, if you know how to unbrick one, why isn't it in the FAQ somewhere? I can understand if it's a really odd procedure, but even an outline would be helpful to a lot of people.

Actually, what I'd like is an inexpensive 10+ drive chassis that I can toss a bunch of SCA/SCA2 drives into. Even used those things bring big bucks. I've got half a mind to put all my bare SCA2 drives on Ebay and move on...

Yep, I was running it with the top metal cover on and it was overheating. Took the fan out, pulled the blade spindle out, removed the bearings and cleaned them as best I could. The fan sounds a lot better now, and the metal box is much cooler, just around room temp.

My teflon greaser isn't where I can get to it, or I'd have pushed all the grime and gunk out of the bearings. Once I find the greaser, I'll give it another cleaning.

Anyone want to buy a nice 1100 (After I wipe the current drive, reload the OS and factory default it?)
