The JVM doesn't apply to the Snap1000. Not enought memory on board for it. Try running HH Regenerator to check for HDD errors. You can also use Spinrite too for errors on HDD.
Report back. There may be another way around the fsck if the checking of the HDD for errors doesn't work.
