Default Re: Snap 1000 Error

Bitor, thanks for your help. I was unsuccessful in getting the 500gB to work again, it must be the low memory issue that the 1000 has. I have read that 320gB works fine, so I got a 320 and cloning the original snap server drive to it then reformatted it to full capacity and loaded my latest backup onto it (Nov 2009). Its working now, but the web files since my last backup are still on my 500gB drive. I'm going to try Linux to access the web files.

Can you answer a few questions for me?

1. I have the model 1000, but I understand that there is a Version 1 and a Version 2. What is the difference and how do I determine which one I have?

2. Whats the best drive jumper setting? CableSelect or Master?

3. If the Linux can't read the drive, what would you suggest? I'd like to recover the latest web files.

How did DCC1234 get in my post?

Regards
~bOb
