Hello, I've seen these units with a 750GB HD in them. However, this will have a greater pull on the PSU over time and could cause problems with this HD. Not to mention that this unit doesn't have a lot of RAM installed. To be safe, I would not go above 250GB, but it's your unit and if you want to install a 500GB...then go for it. It will work, but you might OR might not have problems with it in the future.
