Hi,
Thanks a lot for the quick reply.

I had read somewhere that you couldn't put the HD's in a Windows Machine, so I didn't do that obviously, however thought i'd ask incase there was a way around it.

You are right, there appears to be a failed drive. I removed the IDE cable from the top hard drive (as you look at the server from the front, on the left) and it's not crashing anymore.

Lookign at logs it must do 'repairs' to the current drive - I have no choice but to let it to this as the drive is current offline.

Fingers crossed there is no data loss here.

I will keep the thread updated in the hope it may be of use for future reference
